Michael Davis is the Founder & CEO of Homegrown. Homegrown helps the best neighborhood businesses open up more locations by providing a single source of non-dilutive expansion capital without personal guarantees. The company allows owners to trade a small percentage of future revenue in exchange for large amounts of growth capital now. Uniquely, the capital provided to owners is from local investors.

 

Prior to Homegrown, Michael was on the leadership team of Ally.io. During his time at Ally.io, he helped grow the company from 200 to 1,000 customers in two years, before the company was acquired by Microsoft in late 2021. Prior to this, Michael spent many years in consulting at Deloitte. Additionally, he has been a venture capital partner at Atlanta-based Overline VC for several years.

 

But Michael's roots are in small business. For most of his childhood, he worked every day at his family's business which dealt with many of the same issues that Homegrown now solves. Michael lives in Atlanta, GA with his Wife and dog. They're expecting their first child as of September 2023. He's a massive formula one and Tetris fan, and nerds out on economic development. Michael graduated from Bucknell University with majors in Economics and Classics.
